![]() Is it better/easier to use other s/ware to create the landscapes first, then import into Unity?.What assets/tools can help the most to achieve natural environments?.Most informative tutorials for a graphics & sound beginner?.What should I learn first, second, and so on?.I'm also looking for "sound design" tutorials for natural environments. Sound, of course, is extremely important. I know the basics of Unity (scenes, materials, prefabs, character controllers, scripting simple things) but nothing about modelling, lighting, shaders, visual techniques, etc. I'm a programmer, know c# very well, but haven't tried my hand at design yet. Waterfalls, caves, day and night, magestic trees, evocative ambience and transcendent grasses. So I'm looking for guidance as to the best tutorials, assets & tools to get started making environments along the lines of, say, those in Skyrim. I'd love to create places of beauty to walk around in, particularly in VR. Mostly natural though - trees, rivers, etc., in a sort of fantasy/medieval vein. Games you just enjoy walking and looking around in. The games I've enjoyed most in VR so far have been ones with very atmospheric and evocative environments - Lone Echo, Cyube, Skyrim, etc. Reddit Logo created by /u/big-ish from /r/redditlogos!
